No performances scheduled

Join local artist Saskia Haalebos as she presents a special Preview of her Art Steps program for children.

Art Steps is a series of creative making activities produced by artists for children to share with family and friends. In celebration of the National Gallery’s 40th birthday this mindful poetry activity invites us to look at the Gallery building in new ways.

The program is for children aged 3-12 years, and their accompanying adult to do together.

Saskia Haalebos works on Ngunnawal/Ngunawal and Ngambri Country. Process is very important to her and one of her techniques is note taking. Instead of drawing she writes lists, describing a space through the activities of people in the space rather than its visual appearance. Using this technique, we will write a poetic response to the Gallery’s architecture.
